LASD Homicide Bureau Responded to a Death Investigation
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide investigators are assisting Marina Del Rey Station personnel with a death investigation involving the death of a child.
On Tuesday, September 9th, at approximately 3:10 PM, Marina Del Rey Station deputies responded to a call of a child not breathing in the 3800 Block of Chanson Drive, in the View Park area of unincorporated Los Angeles. The call involved a child who was found unresponsive in a vehicle. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel also responded and pronounced the child deceased at the scene.
The child’s father, Edwin Johnson of View Park, was arrested for Involuntary Manslaughter, 192(b) P.C. and Child Neglect, 273A(a) P.C.
