Washington Co. Sheriff confirms death of toddler left in hot car in Veyo

VEYO, Utah, Sept 3, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the death Monday of a 3-year-old boy who was left in a hot car outside an apartment building in Veyo.

First responders were summoned to the scene at about 6:11 p.m., a WCSO official confirmed. The child could not be saved.

According to online records, the high temperature Monday in Veyo was 103 degrees.

The investigation is ongoing, but limited additional information may be released soon, the official said.
