GBI to investigate death of a 4 year old at Summer Trace Apartments

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called to investigate the death of 4-year-old Kamren Williams, whose body was discovered in the passenger area of a car on Sunday afternoon at the Summer Trace Apartment Complex.

According to Coroner Jamie Anderson, Metter Police Department and Candler County Sheriff’s Office were notified of a missing child on Sunday afternoon. Kamren was found inside the car during a search of the neighborhood and EMS was called around 1:30 p.m. The Coroner’s Office was called around 1:45 p.m. and the child was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although no foul play is suspected, the case remains open and under investigation at this time, according to Police Chief McKinley Lewis.
