Hartsville Police Chief James Hudson says David Richard Gray, 30, of Hartsville is charged with Unlawful Conduct Toward a Child.

Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee says the toddler was found about 5 p.m. in a car parked outside a Hartsville business where the father works.

Sources tell us someone saw her in the car at Carolina Printing in Hartsville and called 9-1-1.

Police say father says he forgot his little girl was inside the car.

The details surrounding this case are currently under investigation.

Coroner Hardee has asked for the assistance of the SLED child death division and the assistance of the Hartsville City Police Department.

He says an autopsy will be performed on Friday.

Gray is being held in the Darlington County Detention Center.

He will have a bond hearing Friday at 4:30pm.
