Vancleave mom
faces murder charge after 10-month-old left in hot car, sheriff says
The mother of the 10-month old boy who died in Jackson County on June 14
has been arrested on a charge of second degree murder, Sheriff Mike Ezell
said Tuesday.
Elizabeth Marie Barhonovich, 28, left Kash Barhonovich
in her vehicle for an unknown length of time while it was parked at her home
in the 14000 block of Arthur Avenue on June 14, Ezell said.
Preliminary autopsy results showed the manner of Kash's death is consistent
with hyperthermia, or elevated body temperature, Ezell said.
Barhonovich is being held at the Jackson County jail without bond, pending
her initial court hearing.
